Why I Sell Some Stocks and Add Others
Tim explains the PAGP removal: share price up 160% over 5 years, 40% in the last year alone, pushing yield below 6.5%. DH strategy focuses on higher-yielding investments — PAGP's price appreciation made it less effective for income generation. MRP added as replacement with 10.2% yield.
PAGP capital gains note: Up 120% since 2022 addition. PAGP distributions treated as "return of capital" until positive earnings & profits (estimated ~2029). Subscribers in taxable accounts may want to hold for tax reasons.
Account performance: July tech selloff (20-40% drops) had no negative impact — DH account continued gaining. Q3 gains exceeding any quarterly gains from the last 2.5 years.
