Meatball Sub

Servings: 4-6 | Prep & Cook: 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 12-16 leftover turkey or beef meatballs
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 4-6 sub rolls or hoagie buns
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Optional: fresh basil or parsley

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. In a small saucepan, warm meatballs in marinara sauce over medium heat until heated through (about 5 minutes).
  3. Split sub rolls open and place on a baking sheet. Spoon meatballs and sauce into each roll.
  4. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  5. Bake for 5-7 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Garnish with basil or parsley if desired. Serve hot.

Tips

  • Works with Turkey Spinach Meatballs or Asian Glazed Turkey Meatballs (skip marinara, use leftover glaze + provolone for an Asian fusion version)
  • Toast the buns first for extra crunch
